In the first match of the group stage, England defeated Croatia 4-2 with a brilliant performance; however, in the second match against Ghana, the team failed to maintain its strong form. Vieira does not believe this draw indicates a significant decline for England. He remains confident in the Three Lions, believing the team can at least reach the FIFA World Cup semifinals.
Vieira said on "The Rest is Football" show: "First of all, England didn't lose this match. After the big win in the first match, we did expect the team to show stronger attacking power, but Ghana deserves our respect.
They are tactically well-organized and difficult to break down, and their counterattacks are very threatening. After the match, many people felt that England's form had regressed, but that's not the case.
I still believe England can at least reach the semifinals, or even challenge for the final. The overall strength of this team is outstanding.
In this match, they couldn't find a way to break through Ghana's defense, but the team will learn from it. If they encounter such a defensive team again, the coach will definitely come up with a solution."
"If England encounters similar opponents later, tactical arrangements and the players on the field will be adjusted.
When Saka came on in the latter part of the game, he brought something completely different from Madueke. Overall, I am not worried about England's performance."
Former England defender Micah Richards believes that Tuchel should make extensive changes to the starting lineup in the final group stage match against Panama.
Richards said: "Player rotation is inevitable. I would start Rashford directly, and if Saka is fit, play him too; Ollie Watkins should also get a chance to play.
The further you progress in a major tournament, the more you need multiple forwards to stay in peak form, and Kane can also take the opportunity to rest.
I would also play Morgan Rogers and rest Jude Bellingham. I would significantly change the starting lineup in the final group stage match."
When asked what kind of performance he expects from England against Panama on Saturday night, Richards added: "I want the team to be more aggressive and dare to attack.
We did that against Croatia, maintaining high intensity even when the opponent defended deep. In today's match, the team's attacking rhythm was too sluggish."

Ghana that parked the bus 🥺
Arsenal get that every game, England lacks creativity and players with vision. Rice is a great corner taker from the left. But Saka and Madueke plus Odegaard take them right side. I know Kane scored with 1 but the marking was non existent. Poor tactics without a plan B..

England style of play may get them deep into the World Cup but they can’t win it with playing passively, their forwards has little or no success in taking on their opponents to open up defense, teams like Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and Argentina are more likely to reach the final because their forwards are not afraid to challenge their opponents to create goals scoring chances, playing it safe by passing sideways and backwards shows lack of creativity
