Olivier Giroud has hilariously responded to claims he pretended not to speak English to avoid a shirt swap with Jason Cummings, taking to Twitter to share a snap of a Socceroos jersey he picked up after their World Cup game.
Cummings told The Project of his failed attempts to swap jerseys with France superstars Giroud and Kylian Mbappe following their 4-1 defeat to Les Bleus in Qatar last month.
The Scottish-born striker claimed that former Chelsea star Giroud pretended he did not understand English to avoid swapping shirts with him.
However, the 36-year-old has now given his side of the story and revealed a major twist.
Taking to Twitter, Giroud shared an image of the jersey of Cummings' Socceroos teammate, Jackson Irvine, with the caption: 'Hi @jacksonirvine_ how is my English mate?'
