Kevin Strootman thanks Roma after completing his move to Marseille - “you’ve been like family to me”.
The Dutch midfielder spent five seasons with the Giallorossi, who stood by him when he missed the best part of two years with a series of knee injuries.
Today he completed a €28m move to OM, and he took to Twitter to thank his former club.
“Five years ago I came to Rome and I immediately fell in love with this beautiful city and club,” Strootman wrote.
“Thank you wonderful Roma, my team mates, the medical staff, the managers, board and staff: you’ve been like family to me.
“Good luck to you all!”
