Gollini incoming?
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are set to complete their first signing of the summer in the coming days.

With Huge Lloris reaching the twilight years of his career and no viable backup available, Spurs have swooped for Atalanta’s shot-stopper Pierluigi Gollini. The deal, as per the same source, will be a loan until 2022 with an option both to extend the loan for another season and to buy the player for 15 million euros.
The one-time Aston Villa man made 25 Serie A appearances for Atalanta last campaign, keeping 10 clean sheets in the process. However, with so much still to address in the squad, Spurs fans will be hoping that this signing is the first of many.
Atalanta team-mate to follow?
Reliable for all things Tottenham, football.london writer Alasdair Gold sent fans on social media into frenzy when he revealed that the club had also been in “advanced” talks to sign Gollini’s team mate, Cristian Romero.
However, although talks have occurred, it seems as though the two clubs are far from any sort of agreement on the Argentine, made further complicated by his current situation as a Juventus player. Atalanta have an option to buy the loanee (which they intend to exercise as reported by 101 last month), before they will in turn, sell him on for profit.
Meanwhile, Simon Collings, of the Evening Standard, reports that “an agreement for the Argentine international is yet to be found as talks continue”.
Could a deal be struck to bring the young defender to north London?
Tomiyasu deal stalls
With interest in Romero intensifying, it seems as though Spurs are not as close to signing Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu as was previously reported. According to Bologna’s director Ricardo Bigon:
“We’re not in a rush to sell Tomiyasu… Tottenham made a bid, it’s true – but many clubs are interested. He’s tempted by the Premier League chance, we’re gonna wait for good conditions”.
On his Twitch channel, meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tottenham offered 18 million euros plus add ons, but that Bologna are holding out for 20 million euros. With the player now at the Olympic games, any deal may be put on the backburner while the club assesses other options
