Manchester United legend Gary Neville has predicted that his former side won't challenge for the Premier League again until at least the 2021/22 season and that's only if everything goes right.
United last won the league in 2013 in Sir Alex Ferguson's last season in charge of the club but since then they have endured a barren spell as they failed to recover from the loss of their iconic manager.
David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho all came and failed to restore United to their former glories and now the task lies with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
In a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday morning, he was asked: "How many years are United away from a genuine challenge?"
"Earliest with perfect recruitment 2021/22," was the former captain's reply.
