The Tottenham and England midfielder has launched a new fashion line called Leo Fortis, which focuses on hats

Dele Alli continues to be haunted by his greatest fashion faux par which still remains fresh in the memory.

Ahead of the official launch of his new headwear brand Leo Fortis, the Tottenham and England midfielder has been reminiscing regarding his worst look.

Alli's Myspace page included an image of him sporting a yellow cardigan, pink t-shirt and large sunglasses.

Now with several clothing ranges, the 22-year-old is now an emerging figure in the industry.

But even Alli admits he got it wrong as a youngster.

He told GQ Magazine: "Definitely the one that everyone has seen in the mirror with the yellow Topman cardigan [is my worst].

"I can’t even remember what the t-shirt was underneath, with shades on.

"That wasn’t my best outfit."

Footballers branching out into fashion is not an uncommon practice, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among the other current players to own their own brand.

The likes of Rio Ferdinand and David Beckham have been able to dedicate themselves to their respective clothing lines since retiring from the sport.

And Alli believes former England captain Beckham is the standard-bearer for his generation.

The ex-Milton Keynes Dons loanee added: "Everyone’s style should be unique to themselves.

"But obviously David Beckham is big in style and a massive influence in England."

Despite being a relative newcomer to the industry - his boohooMAN range was only released earlier this year - Alli is keen to pass on advice to those looking to avoid committing any fashion blunders.

Asked about the cardinal sin to try and avoid, Alli explained: "Definitely the sock rule.

"If you’re wearing black jeans and black trainers, you can’t wear white socks."

Leo Fortis, which means 'brave lion' in Latin, will be launched on November 20 with snapbacks, truckers, beanies and hybrid caps among the selection.

On the field, Alli was part of the England side which avenged their World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia to reach the Nations League finals.
