Allison, the enemy for Barcelona

After their humiliating elimination at the hands of Roma last season, Barcelona's desire to win the Champions League is stronger than ever.

Ernesto Valverde's side host Liverpool on Wednesday in their semi-final first leg and they will come up against a familiar foe in the Reds' goal.

Alisson was the man in between the sticks for Roma during last year's quarter-final as his clean sheet in the return leg at the Stadio Olimpico helped knock Barcelona out.

The Brazilian is enjoying an excellent first campaign in England since leaving Italy last summer and, with 20 clean sheets in 35 Premier League matches, he is leading the way for the golden glove.

This semi-final tie will see Alisson go up against another of the world's best goalkeepers in Barcelona's Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

While Liverpool have conceded the fewest goals in Europe's top five leagues this season, Barcelona are the team with the fewest goals conceded in the Champions League.

Ter Stegen has played in nine of the 10 games in the competition, with Jasper Cillessen failing to keep a clean sheet away at Tottenham in the group stages.
