Newcastle co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi were spotted at Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea vs Tottenham game on Sunday amidst reports that the Magpies are interested in signing four of Thomas Tuchel's players this summer.
Pictured alongside Chelsea chief Behdad Eghbali, the pair watched as Tuchel's Blues were denied three points after Harry Kane grabbed a dramatic last-minute equaliser.
According to a report from The Athletic, Newcastle are interested in bringing in a number of new faces to strengthen Eddie Howe's team before the end of the transfer window this month.
A loan move for former Blues striker Timo Werner was said to be targeted by the Tyneside club before he returned to the Bundesliga with former club RB Leipzig earlier this summer.
Missing out on the German international has not quelled the club's ambitions to bring in players from Stamford Bridge however, with discussions ongoing over moves for Chelsea trio Armando Broja, Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
USMNT captain Christian Pulisic is also said to be a potential target as the club aims to bring in at least one further attacking option before the end of the transfer window.
Pulisic is also subject to interest from Roma, with Thomas Tuchel offering the 23-year-old to the Europa Conference League winners as part of a proposed swap deal for Nicolo Zaniolo.
It is believed that Staveley and Ghodoussi were in attendance at Stamford Bridge on the invitation of new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly, with Staveley and Boehly having a friendship from before their time in football.
Newcastle have enjoyed a successful start to the season, defeating Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend before drawing with Brighton on Saturday.
Eddie Howe's team will face their stiffest test of the campaign so far, when they play host to defending champions Manchester City at St James' Park on August 21.
