Arsenal fans went wild on social media after Gabriel Martinelli produced a stunning nutmeg on West Ham's Tomas Soucek during Wednesday night's clash at the Emirates Stadium.
The Brazilian winger shone for Mikel Arteta's Gunners in their top-four clash on Wednesday by scoring Arsenal's first of the evening in a 2-0 win, before substitute Emile Smith Rowe sealed the points with a swift counter attacking move.
And just moments after Martinelli put Arsenal in front in the 48th minute, the 20-year-old got Gunners fans off their seats again with a stunning nutmeg on Hammers star Soucek near the half-way line, before bursting away to launch another attack.
And Arsenal fans were left gushing after their young Brazilian on social media after the skilful move.
One fan tweeted: 'The nutmeg on Soucek by Martinelli was nothing but pure filfth, reminded me of my hay days.'
Another said: 'Martinelli sent Soucek back to get his booster Jab with that filthy nutmeg'
Another supporter posted: 'That nutmeg by martinelli was saucy. Soucek needs to get czeched after that'
Meanwhile, another tweeted: 'Woooah that Martinelli nutmeg on Soucek is smooth wheeew'
One excited fan added: 'MARTINELLI IS NUTMEGGIN SOUCEK. WHAT A CHEEKY LAD GABRIEL IS. DID HIM DIRTY. ABSOLUTELY LOVING ALL HE DOES ON THE PITCH.'
And another fan posted: 'Wowwww Martinelli showing levels, made Soucek look daft'
One other fan tweeted: 'Martinelli forgot Souček has kids'
Arsenal boss Arteta, whose side moved up to fourth with their victory over the Hammers, was full of praise for Martinelli after the game and hinted that Wednesday night's display was the Brazilian's best in a Gunners shirt.
When asked to rank Martinelli's performance among his other displays, Arteta told his post-match press conference: 'Well certainly it was one of the best in every aspect of the game.
'He was cramping again and he needs to mature in that sense but his overall understanding of the game is getting much better.
'He’s able to put some gears into his play. Sometimes he’s still doing everything at 100 miles per hour but the energy and quality he shows at times is top.'
