One Arsenal youngster is yet to agree a new contract at Arsenal, and could end up leaving the club for free at the end of the season with AC Milan reportedly interested in his services.

The player has played a bit-part role at Mikel Arteta's side this term, having struggled with injuries and found it difficult to displace star forwards Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.

However the English attacker did come up clutch for the Gunners with a last gasp winner against Bournemouth in the 98th minute, as well as scoring twice against Nottingham Forest in a 5-0 win earlier in the season.

The club are thought to be keen on extending his stay at the Emirates, and although an extension has been offered, doubts remain over his future.

And Italian giants AC Milan are now thought to be in the frame to snatch the 23-year-old and take him to Serie A.

Football Italia report that the side currently 4th in the Serie A are keen to snap up Arsenal star Reiss Nelson at the end of the current campaign.

Milan are in the middle of a fight to secure Champions League football, however they could secure automatic qualification still, having reached the last-four and could go on to win the competition.

The Rossoneri are reportedly prioritising a replacement for up front, with Divock Origi scoring just twice in the league and Olivier Giroud (36) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (41) in the twilight of their careers.

Yet with the futures of Rafael Leao, Charles de Ketelaere and Ante Rebic still unclear, there could be a move in wider areas in the offing this summer.

Nelson has long been thought of as a player at Arsenal capable of developing into a top star, but his progression has been hampered by competition in recent years.

The emergence of Saka as one of the country's leading talents has left him without a single start in the Premier League since December 2019, with six substitute appearances this term.

He has enjoyed two loan spells away from the club, playing at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga and spent last season with Feyenoord before returning to his boyhood side.

Brighton are also thought to be interested in taking the 23-year-old to the South Coast.

Nelson has struggled for game time, but has still managed to rack up three goals and as many assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.
