Atletico Madarid confirmed Friday the ankle injury which Nikola Kalinic suffered in training and said the Croatia striker would have to work by himself and see how the injury develops.
The capital club's medical statement said he had a "twist" in the right ankle, but did not say how long he would be out for.
The forward, one of seven players who has not left for international duty hurt himself in training on Friday morning and could not support his foot - he had to be taken off in a vehicle.
