Atletico Madrid will pay tribute to Diego Forlan before the Madrid derby at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday evening.
The Uruguayan, who retired from football in August, spent four seasons with Los Rojiblancos between 2007 and 2011.
It was his double in the 2010 Europa League final that cemented his place in Atletico folklore, and he's the only player in the club's history to win the European Golden Boot.
Forlan was made an ambassador for Atletico during their pre-season tour of the United States, where Diego Simeone's side beat Real Madrid 7-3 in New Jersey.
