Lukas Klostermann has a contract with Leipzig that is valid until June 30, 2021. The signs are currently saying goodbye to the club.
Most recently, Bayern was mentioned as a buyer for Klostermann, but the record champion apparently gets competition from the Bundesliga. "FC Bayern is thinking about him. We heard that too, but also Borussia Dortmund, by the way," says Sky reporter and transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck.
The transfer expert explains why a Klostermann transfer would make sense for BVB. "According to our information, they will Achraf Hakimi in the summer. He has to go back to Real Madrid. Even if Michael Zorc doesn't say that or doesn't want it to be true - depending on the situation," Behrenbeck explains. In addition, Lukasz Piszczek is no longer the youngest at 34 any more. Thus Dortmund would need the right-back position.
But if the big FC Barcelona knock, it should also be difficult for BVB to woo Klostermann. The Catalans are obviously interested in the 23-year-old.
"With Nelson Semedo you have a good right-back, but you don't need a world-class man, you need a new Dani Alves. That is why you absolutely need Klostermann, because they won't get Joshua Kimmich. You will do everything you can," Behrenbeck talks about the Barca interest.
And the Sky reporter thinks Klostermann will leave at least in the summer.
