Match Report
Harry Kane's dream start to his Bayern Munich career continued on Saturday as he hit his first Bundesliga hat-trick, in Bayern's 7-0 win over VFL Bochum.
The England skipper also laid on two assists in the comprehensive win as the German giants laid a marker down to the rest of the division.
Kane's treble means he has now scored seven goals in his first five league games and wracked up three assists for his new club.
The seven strikes sees Kane break the club record of most goals in his first five Bundesliga games surpassing Gerd Muller (1965), Miroslav Klose (2007) and Mario Mandzukic (2012).
The forward also hit a spot-kick in the mid-week Champions League win over Manchester United, meaning his already scored eight goals so far this season.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting opened the scoring for Thomas Tuchel after just four minutes before Kane got his name on the scoresheet for his first of the afternoon.
The 30-year-old reacting quickest to a loose ball in the Bochum box to smash the ball into the corner of the net.
Bayern were 4-0 up by half-time, with Kane laying on an assist for Leroy Sane before he added his second of the match from the penalty spot ten minutes after the break.
He then completed his hat-trick two minutes from the end, turning in Noussair Mazraoui's cross at the near-post to finish off the rout for the home side and see Kane take home the match ball.
It was the striker's first domestic hat-trick since hitting back-to-back trebles for Tottenham against Burnley and Southampton in December 2017.
The win sees Bayern maintain their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season, and they already sit top of the table with 13 points after four wins and a draw in their opening five games.
