Chelsea transfer news: The latest media briefing with reaction the stories on Moises Caicedo and Dusan Vlhaovic as market activity heats up.

Welcome to the football.london transfer briefing. To help you keep on top of all things Chelsea going on in the market we've got the latest noises coming from social media, journalists and so-called ITKs, rounding up what's what in the world of the Blues.

Caicedo deal 'close'

Chelsea are now 'moving' towards a deal with Moises Caicedo, according to Fabrizio Romano. The prize being discussed is going to be in advance of £70million ($89m) as bids of that size were rejected from Arsenal in January but talks are continuing, he says.

Official talks over a deal are said to have opened last month and a deal including add-ons is now being discussed with Chelsea already having shown that they can tempt Brighton with loans after sending Levi Colwill to the south coast last season.

Even as the path became clear there was still the Brighton factor to consider and with Levi Colwill having two bids knocked back plus most of the management staff and recruitment team moving to Stamford Bridge over the past 12 months, negotiating with Tony Bloom and Paul Barber didn't look to be an easy task.

PSG get Vlahovic preference

Chelsea transfer target Dusan Vlahovic would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain, reports in Italy suggest. The player is available to leave Juventus this summer with a reported asking price of £67million ($87m).

Now, in a blow to Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino, Vlahovic is said to have expressed a desire to move to the French capital and is waiting for a bid to be submitted. The Italian side are already ruling out a loan with an option to buy, though.

football.london says: Another common theme of recent windows is the poor relationship between Chelsea and PSG, this isn't going to help anything. Vlahovic is a good option for thje Parisiens, though.

As a 23-year-old with Champions League experience and available for a relatively modest total in modern day standards, Vlahovic would be an ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappe. If the France star leaves this summer than a player that can immediately fill his shoes is needed and there's no surprise that Vlahovic is seen as that man.

Readymade players of his quality and goalscoring ability aren't often there on the market and for PSG it is almost the perfect deal. If he arrives now then it would allow Mbappe room to play from the left and if Real Madrid make a swoop to take that out of the equation then they have a new main man straight away.
