Chelsea fans have spotted a scheduled private jet flight and told supporters to "make of that what you will".
The Blues reportedly remain in the market to continue their January spending spree ahead of Tuesday's 11pm deadline, having already spent over £180million this month. Club officials are understood to have travelled to Portugal in a bid to finalise the signing of World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez from Benfica before the window closes.
Having tracked a flight leaving Farnborough for Lisbon on Monday morning, Chelsea fans have now spotted that the same plane is scheduled to return to Farnborough on Tuesday evening.
The aircraft is due to leave the Portuguese capital at 6pm before landing in the UK at 8:25pm, according to reports, having previously been scheduled to return to England this morning.
One Chelsea fan account reacted to the news by tweeting: "Make of that what you will," as they relayed the flight information to their followers.
Graham Potter's side have been linked with Fernandez throughout the window, although the move had looked unlikely with the two clubs unable to agree on a structure for the transfer fee.

Chelsea are said to be willing to pay an additional £10million above the player's release clause to take the fee to £115million and allow them to pay it in instalments, rather than a £105million fee in one hit.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday afternoon that the deal could still happen before the deadline with talks ongoing between officials from Chelsea and Benfica.
He added that the deal remains on, with Chelsea continuing to iron out the details with Benfica and complete the signing of the Argentina international.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports News report that Fernandez is set to undergo a medical in Lisbon in order to speed up the process as the cut off point for deals edges closer.
Fernandez's stock grew considerably during the World Cup as he appeared in each of Argentina's matches on their path to glory, scoring once and providing an assist.
