Cudicini hoping AC Milan beat Tottenham

Carlo Cudicini is hoping AC Milan defeat Tottenham in their Champions League round of 16 clash.

The first-leg clash occurs this week.

Cudicini told Milan TV: "Tottenham are a particular club, because they could potentially compete at a very high level every season: they have a wonderful stadium, a wonderful training centre, fans who have been waiting for many years to celebrate some trophies... Everything is there, but if not success ... something is missing. I am convinced that with (Antonio) Conte this goal of winning something can be approached. He did a great job last year. This year, after a more than positive start, they had some ups and downs.

"All of Conte's teams are difficult, they work a lot and are well placed on the field and are always dangerous.

"They will be two different matches. (Harry) Redknapp's Tottenham based the team on individuals, while Conte will prepare it in a different way and with a different form. For me it is a pleasant memory because I went back to San Siro. When you hear the anthem of the Champions League you shiver and you get excited: I hope, as a Milan fan, that this effect can also be felt on Tuesday."
