Barcelona defender Dani Alves has shared his thoughts on who the three best right-backs in world football are right now.
Alves - who returned to Barcelona in November after previously representing the LaLiga giants between 2008-2016 - has named Trent Alexander-Arnold as his favourite defender at the moment.
However, the 38-year-old has also heaped praise on Reece James and Achraf Hakimi, claiming the two defenders have the perfect balance between strength and technique.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Alves said: 'I admire Trent Alexander-Arnold very much. He's a fantastic footballer – this guy has got world-class skills.'
He went on to praise Chelsea defender Reece James and Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi.
'I also like to watch Reece James and Achraf Hakimi,' Alves continued. 'They mix strength with technique and are also great players.
'The three of them obviously have different characteristics and styles, but they all know how to do the job.'
Alves is regarded as one of the best right-backs in history. He established himself as a world-class players during his time at Barcelona.
Alves won three Champions Leagues, three Club World Cups, six La Liga titles and five Spanish Cups during his first spell with the LaLiga giants.
Six more pieces of silverware followed during his two seasons at PSG. Alves went on to win the double in his one and only season at Juventus.
Alves then opted for a move to his boyhood club Sao Paulo on a free transfer in August 2019 and became the best-paid footballer in South America.
During his time at the South American club, the right-back captained his country to Olympic gold at the Tokyo Games.
Following the Games, Alves decided to make a sensational return to Barcelona after terminating his contract with the Brazilian side over a pay dispute.
Alves' transfer to Barcelona saw him link up with his former team-mate and manager of the Catalans, Xavi.
