Dani Alves has been praised by Barcelona fans for the example he is setting for the club's young players - as emphasised by his gesture at an open training session at the Nou Camp.
The 38-year-old finally made his second debut for the club this week against Linares Deportivo in the Cope del Rey after being registered by the club on January 3.
He has already been in and around the Barca squad, leaving his mark by setting an example in terms of work ethic and respect for the club.
And both were on display at a recent open training session held at the club's 99,000-capacity stadium.
After keeping up with the youngsters around the pitch, supporters online noticed one gesture that also taught his younger team-mates a lesson in how to respect the club.
Coming off the pitch, Alves went out of his way not to tread on the club crest on the side of the pitch.
This was picked up on by 20-year-old Nico Gonzalez, who in turn changed his trajectory to walk around the emblem.
Fans who spotted the moment on TikTok and social media were quick to praise Alves.
'We also need players who respect and love the badge unconditionally,' one fan wrote.
Another posted: 'The amount of respect Dani has for Barca on and off the pitch is unbelievable.'
'Dani set an example for them.. This is what leaders and experienced players should do,' wrote a third.
Alves is now registered and available to Xavi for the second half of the season. He could be in line to make his LaLiga return on Saturday, when Barcelona face Granada.
