Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has finally managed to get his hands on Lionel Messi's shirt, three years after he was snubbed by the Argentine superstar.

Davies came off the bench as Bayern beat PSG 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in Paris on Tuesday night.

It was the first time he had shared a pitch with Messi since Bayern's unforgettable 8-2 victory over Barcelona in 2020.

After that game, Davies revealed that Messi had denied his request for his coveted shirt after that game with the Barca star being a 'little bit upset'.

The Canadian also vowed to get it at the next opportunity, saying 'next time hopefully', and he accomplished that mission on Tuesday night.

Davies was seen quickly making his way towards Messi at the final whistle and the World Cup winner was happy to grant his request this time, the pair swapping shirts.

Kingsley Coman came back to haunt PSG again as he earned Bayern Munich a 1-0 win at the Parc des Princes.

Born in Paris and groomed at PSG, Coman scored the only goal when Bayern beat the French side in the 2020 Champions League final and he was again the sole scorer as the German champions put one foot into the quarter-finals.

Injury prevented Kylian Mbappe from starting but he changed the game when he came on in the second half, twice seeing a goal disallowed for offside.

The second leg takes place in Munich in three weeks.
