The 19 year old defender, after scoring in the 4th minute, had to suffer Tottenham's historic comeback as Ajax were eliminated in the 96th minute.
Barcelona are trying to sign the defender. And Cuatro's television cameras went to the mother of De Ligt's house today, asking her about her son.
"It's an enormous decision," she said, when speaking about his future, but didn't want to interfere. "It's his life."
She also insinuated Barcelona might be his destination. "Barca are a great club," she said.
