Denis Suarez has insisted he wants to become an "important player for Arsenal" as he hints that he would like to stay at the Gunners permanently.
Midfielder Suarez joined Arsenal on loan from Barcelona in January on a deal until the end of the season.
The Spain international has yet to start for Unai Emery's men and has only managed four appearances - two of which have come in the Europa League.
But despite the indifferent start to life in north London, Suarez has suggested he would like the Gunners to pay a reported £17million to keep him at the Emirates Stadium for the long term.
"My aim is to be a success here, perform well and feel important," Suarez told the Arsenal’s YouTube channel.
"I’d like to become an important player at the club.
"I joined Arsenal to get a lot of playing time, to be an important player and feel important
"I’m determined to perform well and be a success at this great club."
Suarez's move to Arsenal meant a reunion with Emery - having worked with the Spaniard while on loan from Barca in 2014.
And the 25-year-old has heaped the praise onto his boss for helping him turn into the footballer he has become.
"I think Unai made me a football player, when I joined Sevilla I was a prospect.
"I was coming off the back of a great season in the second division with Barca B. But it was a big step up to the elite level. he really helped me."
