EFL clubs 'searching for a neutral venue to host semifinal play-offs over 1 LEG'

The EFL Championship is looking for neutral venues to host a one-legged play off semi final as plans are laid out for the resumption of the season in the second tier.

When football restarts following the coronavirus-inflicted halt in play, games are set to be staged at home venues, and The Sun reports that chiefs are looking to reduce the semi final ties to just one game.

The league is on the lookout for neutral venues to host the semi finals, preferably with a hotel nearby so players can make the easy move from accommodation to the ground. Bolton's Macron Stadium and Stadium MK, of Milton Keynes Dons, have been mooted.
