Lorenzo Sanz Jr. and Fernando Sanz have penned emotional messages to their father, former Real Madrid president Lorenzo, who is in intensive care suffering from coronavirus.
Lorenzo Sanz was president of Los Blancos for their seventh and eighth European Cup triumphs in 1998 and 2000 respectively.
"Today is a special Father's Day because you're not with us, but we know that you're fighting like the champion you are," Lorenzo Sanz Jr. wrote.
"We're proud of you, what you've achieved coming from a humble family is unique.
"You don't know how many people are worrying about you and how much I love you, but especially mum and my brothers and your grandchildren want to see you again.
"Come on, dad. We love you."
Fernando Sanz was a player for Real Madrid while his father was president.
"We love you, dad, we'll be together with you again soon," Fernando Sanz wrote.
"You're strong, you've always been the head of the whole family.
"Keep fighting, we're hoping for you to return.
"You're our hero and our shining light, I love you."
