Arsenal's recently departed head of emerging talent Yousuf Sajjad is joining Dutch club Den Bosch to take up a senior technical director’s role.

It emerged in September that Sajjad was leaving the Emirates and Sportsmail can reveal that the highly-rated talent spotter is heading to Holland to take up a lead position with the Eerste Divisie club.

Sajjad is widely recognised as one of the best identifiers of young footballers in England and turned down one offer from a League One club to become their technical director and a further two head of recruitment roles at Championship clubs.

The 30-year-old, who becomes the youngest person to hold such a role in the EU, arrives in Holland with a growing reputation.

At Arsenal he played a key role in the arrivals of talented youngsters Lino Sousa, Reuell Walters and Salah Oulad M’hand.

In his previous role at Chelsea, Sajjad was involved in the scouting of Ian Maatsen, Billy Gilmour and Ethan Ampadu.

His deep-rooted knowledge of the English market could see a number of young players head over to Den Bosch moving forward to continue their development.

Den Bosch is part of multi-club model which includes clubs in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and Denmark.
