Former Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is happy with his move to PSG.

Skriniar has joined PSG in a Bosman transfer, having committed to the Parisians in January.

He told Le Parisien: "I am very happy and very proud to be part of this fantastic club made up of incredible and daring players For me, PSG is a big club, which grows a little more every year.

"Not only am I happy to be part of such a project, but I want to stay in Paris for the long term. Everyone knows what the club needs, what PSG want to achieve and we are all working. I want to be part of this family."

The Slovak continued: "We started talking about it last year, but sometimes things take time to materialise. I've never lost hope, right from the first talks there was no doubt about my intentions: I wanted to come to Paris.

"Officials of PSG wrote to me after important matches, they checked me and asked me how I was, even during the long period of the injury I spoke a lot with the club doctor Christophe Baudot and DS Luis Campos. Since I've been here I've always trained, I've played for the national team and with PSG, that physical problem is now behind me. I've never suffered like this in my life."
