The summer transfer window is edging closer, with Chelsea and Manchester United expected to be among the busiest clubs, as the futures of Dean Huijsen and Marcus Rashford take the spotlight
How did we get here? There's just one month left of Premier League football and that means clubs are well underway with their preparations for the summer transfer window.
Some major moves are being plotted, with another summer of big spending expected. Manchester United don't have much in their wallets and are reliant on sales for fund their business.
Wolves star Matheus Cunha has emerged as one of Ruben Amorim's top targets and eagle-eyed fans spotted the United boss in conversation with the £62.5million-rated Brazilian forward at Old Trafford on Sunday. But it's not just the Red Devils who are preparing for a busy few months.
Numerous high-profile figures at Liverpool have acknowledged that they're in for a 'big summer' after Vigil van Dijk and Mo Salah committed to the club by signing new two-year contracts. As for Trent Alexander-Arnold, his future remains uncertain amid continued links to Real Madrid.
Here's a round-up of the latest football news.
Chelsea lead Huijsen race
Chelsea have taken the lead in the race to sign Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, as the Blues aim to wrap up a deal before the Club World Cup. Huijsen, who has a £50million release clause, has attracted interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham.
But the Independent report that it's Chelsea who have the advantage, with the 19-year-old Spain international seriously considering their proposal. The Blues are willing to offer a lucrative package that could make up a seven-year contract, the kind of deal which Chelsea have become accustomed to handing out.

Rashford makes Man Utd stance clear
Marcus Rashford feels that he's unlikely to play for Manchester United again under Ruben Amorim - but he won't rush a decision on his future. Aston Villa have a £40million option to make his loan permanent while clubs abroad are monitoring his situation ahead of the summer.
Rashford, 27, doesn't want to join a London club but has ambitions to play in the Champions League. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have been linked with some level of interest, but the recently-recalled England international won't be joining any of them if United get their way and he's sold.

Liverpool star makes Real Madrid admission
Alexis Mac Allister has admitted that he's aware of links with Real Madrid but has no interest in leaving Liverpool. Mac Allister, 26, has been instrumental in the Reds' Premier League title charge and has rapidly become one of Europe's most coveted midfielders, predictably leading to links with Real.
The Argentine told TyC Sports: "I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present is no matter how much the club loves me, if I play poorly this weekend, they'll lose interest. I'm fine at Liverpool and I don't have any need [to leave]. I have a lot of respect for the club, and I don't think it’s necessary to talk about other clubs."
