Former Arsenal stars make hilarious Paddy Power advert poking fun at Piers Morgan

Former Arsenal stars Ray Parlour, Kevin Campbell, Nigel Winterburn and Charlie Nicholas have teamed up to create a hilarious Paddy Power advert, as they joked that they want to see the Gunners miss out on the Premier League title just to stop Piers Morgan from being happy.

Mikel Arteta's men have had an excellent season and are going toe-to-toe with Manchester City for the league, with the two sides set to meet each other at the Etihad Stadium tonight.

Arsenal super-fan Morgan has been following their progress all the way, praising the team's turnaround under Arteta after they just missed out on the top four last year.

Having reached the business end of the season, Arsenal are now within touching distance of ending their 19-year wait to win the title, but their ex-players have put together a tongue-in-cheek commercial claiming they don't want the side to get over the line as it would make Morgan unbearable.

'I'm sorry, but Arsenal winning the title this season, it can't happen!' Nicholas said, somehow managing to keep a straight face.

Campbell quickly explained why, adding: 'Piers Morgan, he ruins everything!'

Parlour went even stronger as he stated: 'I'd rather Arsenal never win another trophy than to see Piers Morgan happy and smiling.'

'I actually feel sick just thinking about it,' Nicholas continued as he pretended to throw up into a bucket at the thought of Arsenal winning the title.

Winterburn claimed he was of the same opinion by saying: 'Seeing Piers Morgan celebrate an Arsenal title? No f***ing thank you!'

'Can you imagine what he'd be like? Big, smug head on him,' Campbell said, shaking his head at the thought.

Parlour even joked about getting a game abandoned to prevent Arsenal from coming out on top, suggesting that he could dress up as a dog and run onto the pitch.

Winterburn had his own idea to scupper his former team's chances, claiming he'd stand outside their hotel at night and set off rockets to keep the players awake.

Meanwhile, Campbell was looking for divine intervention, asking the spirits from a Ouija board to stop Arsenal finishing top.

The advert ended with all four men uttering the same three words: 'Piers f***ing Morgan, before they all walked off set saying 'I can't do this', another dig at the TV presenter after he gave the same response when storming off Good Morning Britain following an argument with weatherman Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle in 2021.

Morgan saw the funny side as he replied to the video on social media with a series of laughing face emojis.

Despite their protests, Parlour and co. will no doubt be cheering on the Gunners tonight in one of the biggest games in the club's recent history, knowing a win would take Arteta's men one step closer to sealing the title.
