Nili Perdomo, former Barca player in the 2016-17 season who made his debut in the first team, has been working since end of January at Bengaluru FC India, where he recalled a personal detail that Leo Messi had with him during his brief period of Azulgrana, a gesture that he will never forget because he made happy his grandfather, the most important person in his life.

Speaking to The Indu newspaper, Nili Perdomo is sincere recalling his harsh childhood in Las Palmas: "My life as a child was not easy. My father and mother were fighting all the time. When I was seven, I moved in with my mother. But she had problems with alcohol and drugs. She used to hit me a lot, so I was forced to live on the streets. I didn't have any money. I'd walk around and look through the windows of the house. If I saw fruit or food inside, I'd steal it. These were desperate times," recalls the footballer.

From there he arrived at Barça, where he often trained with Luis Enrique's first team: "It's a luxury to train with guys like Messi. You can learn a lot in every minute of training. Outside the field, Neymar is like me: he likes to have fun. Messi is quier and more serious."

It is then that he remembers in the interview how the magical moment occurred between Messi and his grandfather. “My grandfather, for the first time in his life, traveled from Las Palmas in the Canary Islands to the mainland. He came to see me train. After training, I asked Messi if he could take a picture with my grandfather. Messi agreed and even gave my grandfather his shirt. That meant the world to me,” explained Nili,  “It's for my grandfather, because he is the god of all gods.”
