Gabriel Jesus will 'get more goals' for Arsenal next season than Richarlison will at Tottenham

Arsenal's acquisition of Gabriel Jesus is a better signing than Tottenham's Richarlison, says Tony Cascarino.

The Brazilian duo recently made their moves to London with Richarlison swapping Goodison Park for Spurs, and Jesus closing in on his move to join Arsenal.

Antonio Conte's side completed their £60million swoop for the Everton frontman on Friday, while Jesus is expected to seal his £45million move to the Emirates in the upcoming days.

Ex-Chelsea striker Cascarino weighed in on the debate as to who is the better coup, admitting he favours Jesus to score more goals next season.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: 'I think Gabriel Jesus ticks a lot more boxes and they've got him at a better price.

'If you said to me now who will get the most goals, I'd say Gabriel Jesus would get more goals than Richarlison for Tottenham.

'And he's more versatile than Richarlison. Gabriel Jesus has played left-wing, right-wing and centre-forward for Man City.

Jesus boasts the more impressive trophy cabinet having won four Premier League titles, four League Cups and an FA Cup since joining Manchester City in 2016.

Whereas Richarlison has failed to lift any silverware at Everton or previously Watford, but his goals at the end of the last season was crucial in helping the Toffees avoid relegation.

Jesus has largely been used as a support striker by Pep Guardiola who previously favoured Sergio Aguero or a false nine formation that omitted the need for a striker with the 25-year-old starting just 99 games for Man City.

Richarlison in comparison started on the bench just 12 times as he made 173 top-flight appearances.

But it is Jesus who boasts the more impressive scoring record, bagging 58 goals compared to his countryman's 48 goals for Watford and Everton.
