Inter Milan change ownership; fall into hands of Oaktree

  /  autty

Inter Milan have changed ownership.

With the deadline falling to repay their loan, Suning have surrendered ownership of Inter to hedge fund Oaktree.

The 275 million euro loan guaranteed by Oaktree, which reached 385m with interest, was not repaid. After eight years and seven trophies Suning says goodbye to the Nerazzurri and now all that is missing is the press release from the US company that will make everything official.

The note from Oaktree announcing the enforcement of the pledge is expected in the next few hours, while no communications from president Steven Zhang is scheduled.

Within twenty days, Oaktree will have to appoint its president and its board of directors, then a new page will begin in the history of the club that has just become champion of Italy.
