Former USA forward Taylor Twellman has claimed Jack Grealish takes 'too many touches' after analyzing his performance in Manchester City's emphatic 4-1 win over Liverpool.
The $123million Englishman provided an assist and scored the fourth goal in the resounding victory.
Although Apple TV's Twellman did admit the winger 'had himself a game', he questioned whether City boss Pep Guardiola will still be demanding more speed.
'Grealish is looking good BUT am I the only one who still sees too many touches,' Twellman said on Twitter on Saturday.
'Easily could play in KDB [Kevin De Bruyne], have a shot himself, or keep it moving?! Too harsh it may be in this moment but I wonder if Pep still wants it's "quicker."
'He's had himself a game today I need to make that very clear.'
City fans hit out at Guardiola for 'coaching the flair' out of Grealish early on in the 2022-23 season.
The most expensive English footballer of all time when he made the move to Aston Villa to City in the summer of 2021 continued to struggle at the start of the campaign.
He suffered a drop in form and failed to nail down a place within the star-studded line-up.
Guardiola was quick to launch to the defense of Grealish in September when the England star was substituted with City trailing to Borussia Dortmund.
