Jan Oblak has opened the door to an Atletico Madrid exit insisting he could leave should the club need to sell players.
The Slovenian is renowned as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and just helped the Spaniards claim the La Liga title.
Despite that he has been linked with the Wanda Metropolitano exit door as the likes of Manchester United circle.
Atletico, like all clubs, have felt the financial impact of the pandemic and may have to make changes as a result.
Oblak concedes he doesn't know what the future holds and admits the club may have to cash in on him.
He told Marca : "I can't see the future, neither myself nor the club nor anyone can.
"It will depend on a lot of factors, such as if the club needs to sell any players or not."
He continued saying: "I have nothing to say about my future, I have been at Atleti seven years and I have two years left on my contract.
"I have played more than 300 games here and, while I enjoy having won La Liga Santander, I'm not thinking about anything else.
"I'm here, I'm happy. We'll see what the future brings."
United have been linked with an audacious cash-plus-player offer for the 28-year-old.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's goalkeeper situation is far from clear with four shot stoppers currently on the books.
Sergio Romero and Lee Grant are set to leave but one of Dean Henderson or David de Gea could follow.
The latter, who was usurped by Henderson as first choice before coming back in for the Europa League final, has reportedly been included in an offer to buy Oblak.
The Sun claim that the Slovenian is United’s ideal goalkeeper and will cost them around £70m, but including De Gea, who was formerly at Atletico, could lower that fee.
United are paying the Spaniard £375,000-a-week and are keen to get those wages off their bill, especially if De Gea is going to play second fiddle going forward.
Solskjaer has previously said that Henderson is a future No 1 for both United and England, but his lack of minutes are an issue.
Several clubs have been linked with the 24-year-old, although he has expressed no desire to quit Old Trafford.
He told the club's official website earlier this season: “I’ve just got to keep ticking along, keep doing well and my best is yet to come.
"I’ll keep waiting for those opportunities to come and hopefully I can build a bit of momentum and show my best form.”
Henderson signed a new long-term deal in the summer - just 12 months after De Gea also committed his future to the club.
