Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen is set to make his return from long-term injury in the Under-23 clash against Liverpool on Monday night.
The Dutch striker hasn't made a single appearance this season due to a foot injury - but he is due to make his return against the Merseysiders.
The forward could yet revive his flagging Spurs career if he can prove his worth to Mauricio Pochettino this month.
Having spent last season on loan at Fenerbache, the 24-year-old was expected to be sold in the summer - but the injury scuppered those plans.
But he could still have a part to play between now and the end of the season if his comeback goes well.
Janssen was stripped of his No 9 shirt at the beginning of the season and appeared to be on the way out.
He even failed to make the squad for Tottenham's pre-season tour of the United States.
Janssen is not in Pochettino's 25-man squad but there is a possibility that could change if he shows some form.
The Spurs boss has until January 31 to force his way back into the picture and be named in the group pushing hard in the title race.
