Juventus have rejected a £66m bid from Barcelona for their defender Matthijs de Ligt.
De Ligt is a long-term target for Barcelona and they missed out on his signature when he decided to move to Turin from Ajax last summer for the same fee now being offered by the Nou Camp club.
While he has had difficult periods during his first campaign at the Italian giants, De Ligt is thought to be settled in Turin.
The 20-year-old was joined by his girlfriend Anneke Molenaar in Italy – which has seen him take to life in the country with ease.
When it comes to deciding whether to let him go, De Ligt's happiness is viewed as crucial to Juventus.
They also used the Italian Growth Decree scheme, which lets teams in Italy buy players from abroad with significant tax breaks, as long as they stay in the country for at least 24 months.
There is thought to be a good relationship between Juventus and Barcelona, yet they are still not interested in selling De Ligt.
Alongside Merih Demiral, De Ligt is considered to be a star of the future at Juventus.
The pair are viewed as the heirs to Leonardo Bonucci and Georgio Chiellini, who have been the defensive foundation of their success over the last decade.
Chief football officer Fabio Paratici views De Ligt as a long-term project and moved early to sign him – and has no interest in letting him go at this stage.
