Juventus 1-0 Atletico: Dybala's insane free-kick seals top spot in group

Paulo Dybala scored from a near-impossible angle to give Juventus a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid 1-0 Tuesday and secure first place in its Champions League group.

Paulo Dybala scored a wonderful free-kick to earn Juventus a 1-0 home win over Atletico Madrid that secured top spot in Group D of the Champions League.

Atletico, knocked out by Juve last season, had the better of the first half but moments before the interval Dybala whipped a superb set-piece in from a narrow angle to open the scoring.

Although Joao Felix's introduction from the bench improved Atletico, it was Juve substitute Federico Bernardeschi who went closest to the game's second goal when he hit the post on Tuesday.

 GOOD CHANCE! It's the first real chance that Juventus have created and Dybala cuts inside from the right before curling a shot towards the far corner but Oblak gets down well to save it. 

24' Save! Szczesny parries Saul long shot

Saul drills a low shot towards the far bottom corner from the edge of the box and Szczesny gets own quickly to make the save. He spills it, and Morata is close to getting on the end of it, but the keeper gets to it first and keeps hold of it.

THAT'S A BRILLIANT GOAL! He takes the free-kick from a very tight angle just outside the box on the right and he curls his effort into the far top corner. Oblak sees it late and he can do nothing to keep it out. 1-0 Juventus!

50' Szczesny makes decent save to stop Saul

This time, the corner into the box from Trippier is much better and it finds its way through to Saul. He's unmarked in the middle and takes the shot on the half volley, but it ends up being a comfortable save for Szczesny. 

67' POST! Bernardeschi almost score a goal

OFF THE POST! Bernardeschi is looking for a pass into the box, but when he can't see one, he goes for goal himself. He gets past two Atletico defenders before curling his shot towards the bottom corner, but can only find the outside of the post.
