Juventus are eyeing an incredible double swoop for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and Real Madrid defender Marcelo.
Having already signed Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, Juventus are eager to strengthen their squad even further in January as they seek to win the Champions League, as reported by Tuttosport.
Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici wants to bring in significant reinforcements and it is thought that Ronaldo's close relationship with Marcelo could help persuade the left-back to make the move to Italy.
Resigning Pogba, who won four Serie A titles with the club, would represent a significant statement from Juventus.
Pogba has also been targeted by Barcelona and hinted at a fractious relationship with United manager Jose Mourinho.
Former Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved, who is now the club's vice-president, said: ‘The Ronaldo coup started in Paratici’s mind. When he proposed it to (chairman Andrea) Agnelli and I, we had no doubts’.
'Now the director of sport can become decisive for the arrival of another two champions'.
In addition to the acquisition of Ronaldo in a £100million deal, Juventus also brought in Emre Can from Liverpool and re-signed Leonardo Bonucci from AC Milan.
Juventus have started the season in impressive form, winning their first three Serie A fixtures.
They will face Pogba and United in the Champions League group stages along with Valencia and Young Boys.
