Liverpool have arrived in Manchester ahead of their highly-anticipated clash with Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp's side know that a victory would see them extend their lead over City in the Premier League table to 10 points, putting them in a good position to take the crown at the end of the season.

They have never won the English top flight in the current format of the competition.

Their big red bus was parked on the streets of Manchester outside of the Crowne Plaza hotel on Thursday afternoon ahead of the evening's game.

The stars were photographed leaving the vehicle, including Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino.

Key defender Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum were also part of the travelling party.

Alisson, who has been impressive between the sticks, Dejan Lovren, Sadio Mane and James Milner arrived with the team.

Earlier on Thursday, Klopp has claimed he is not feeling the pressure of the title race and insisted he just wants to 'enjoy the ride'.

Despite the sizeable reward available for beating City on Thursday evening, he insisted he is totally at ease with his team's position in the table and just wants to see where their performances will take them.

'Now, we are in a really good moment, that's true, but we have to go to Manchester City and play all the other big ones apart from Arsenal,' he said.

'It's football. I don't need to know now what will be in May. Who can't really live with the time between now and May? Go on holiday and switch everything off then come back in May and see what happened. I cannot change that. I don't want to. I want to enjoy the ride until May!

'For us, the target was to qualify for the Champions League and even that is not sure because the others can win 17 games in a row.

'We have to only be focused on us and that's what we do and so far, the mood in the club and around has got better and better. We will see where that leads us to.'

Klopp's side have won nine Premier League games in a row, including a 5-1 thrashing over Arsenal last time out.

He believes his players can handle the hype surrounding his team, insisting there will be no thoughts of celebration until the season is finished.

The former Dortmund boss added: 'We don’t feel it. We know we are in a good moment, it is how the world is.

'Some have to work for the dream, some just have to dream. We have to work for it. We know about our quality we use them week in and week out and what will be at the end of the season we will see.

'In sport, you don’t celebrate until you are over the finish line. The boys are not part of the hype but they are a reason for it.'

Tottenham are currently the closest side to Liverpool in the league. They are six points behind, although they have played one more match.
