Liverpool have today unveiled a statue of former manager Bob Paisley outside Anfield, with a small crowd gathering outside the official club store to mark the occasion.

The legendary figure in Reds history won three European Cups as Liverpool boss - no manager of any club has won more - as well as six league titles.

He was in charge of 535 matches in all during his time with the club, in which 955 goals were scored, and was also a Reds player before he turned to management.

Following his coaching career, he also became a Reds board member, continuing his association with the team.

In all, Paisley's Liverpool career spanned 44 years, and the club marked what would have been his 100th birthday just over a year ago.

Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore was in attendance at a ceremony to unveil the statue.
