Luis Suarez Miramontes, Spain's first and only Ballon d'Or winner, turns 85 on Saturday.
The forward received the award in 1960 ahead of Ferenc Puskas and Uwe Seller.
Suarez grew up in La Coruna and came through the ranks at Deportivo before moving to Barcelona.
He also turned out for Inter and Sampdoria in Italy and the Spanish national team before retiring in 1972.
As for his medal collection, it includes two LaLiga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, three Serie A titles, two European Cups and two Intercontinental Cups, as well as the 1964 European Championship.
