A large group of treble-winning Manchester City players have jetted out to Ibiza for a night of partying ahead of a return back for today's trophy parade.

Mail Sport understands that those involved – who did not include manager Pep Guardiola – chartered a private jet from Manchester to the Balearic island to mark their history-making exploits in style.

They are expected back early this afternoon ahead of another evening of partying for the blue half of Manchester.

Guardiola and his squad returned to the city yesterday after their dramatic 1-0 victory over Inter Milan secured the Champions League, with Europe's major trophy following the Premier League and FA Cup into the Etihad cabinet.

From the Ataturk Stadium, the group headed to their hotel for a party with striker Erling Haaland entertaining on the DJ decks.

The festivities went on until 8am. Many sported sunglasses as they disembarked their flight in Manchester along with their trophy.

However, it would appear that some managed a second wind – hopping on to another flight for a consecutive night of celebrations.

Parade gates open at 5pm with City players expected on stage from 7.30pm.
