All the latest Chelsea news and transfer gossip including updates on Declan Rice, Neymar and Raphinha
Here are the latest Chelsea headlines on Thursday, May 11.
Neymar advantage
Thiago Silva has already handed Chelsea a huge boost towards the signing of Neymar. Last summer, the veteran defender revealed to Spanish outlet MARCA that PSG gave him the cold shoulder before he eventually decided to join the Blues as a free agent.
Towards the end of the interview, Silva encouraged Neymar to follow him to Chelsea. He said: "They didn't offer me anything. Not even a euro. 'Thiago, do you accept a euro to stay with us?' Nothing at all. It was very annoying. They had three months to plan my farewell, but nothing was done.
"[Neymar] has to go to Chelsea," Silva added. "If it happens, it will be the best. Neymar doesn't need comments... so far, I don't know anything, but I hope it comes to fruition."
United close in on Rice
The report states that Rice impressed United's coaching staff during West Ham's win over the Red Devils at the weekend. The Sun add that United regard Rice as a player they could build a team around.
Raphinha strikes back
"LIE. The person who said this is beyond a liar and uninformed," he wrote. Then, after his comment was deleted, Raphinha added: "OK, why did you delete my comment? LIE, once again, this 'OK' is LIE And whoever said that is a LIAR, MISINFORMED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. If my comment is deleted, I will post it on my Instagram."
