Manchester United have named 14-year-old Shola Shoretire on the bench for their Under 19 UEFA Youth League game with Valencia on Wednesday.

Eligible to play for Nigeria, the diminutive winger has already been invited to train with England's youth sides after impressing above his age group for the past two years.

Shoretire, regarded as an 'exceptional up-and-coming talent', travelled with United's Under 18s and Under 23s to Austria for a training camp in the summer and has continued to impress with his skills and ability to play on either wing.

United have also called up 15-year-old defender Will Fish to face Valencia, also naming him on the bench. The Spaniards are bottom of the group.

First-team manager Jose Mourinho is expected to draft in a number of United youngsters for his squad to face Valencia on Wednesday evening.

United have already qualified from their Champions League group, thanks to late wins over Juventus and Young Boys in their previous two fixtures.
