Diego Maradona has made clear his concern at recent developments with regard to defending against the coronavirus pandemic.
Argentine are yet to face the crisis that has enveloped several European countries, however Maradona is wary of how difficult it is to spread information that is helpful.
"Some made fun of it, but the truth is that last Saturday nobody spoke of a pandemic here; we all greeted each other with a kiss and stadiums were full, it's difficult to educate a country in 15 minutes," Maradona explained.
"This problem is resolved with education, obedience and respect.
"Good luck to everyone."
Having spent a significant amount of time in Italy with Napoli, Maradona was very emotional when speaking about the country and the difficulties it is currently facing.
"I lived for seven years in Naples, I have a family there, many people who I love and who love me," he added.
"Italy is part of my life and I want to send them a message of support.
"Everyone there realised that they should stay in their houses.
"I hope that in Argentina, we react in time."
