According to Foot Mercato, Olympique de Marseille have asked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (35) to clarify his intentions this summer as Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab circle the waters for the Gabonese striker.

The French outlet reports that Al-Shabab have been incredibly keen on securing Aubameyang’s signature for the past four years, and have sent both Marseille and the player offers as they look to finally put pen to paper.

Aubameyang has publicly suggested that he would like to continue in La Provence for another season. However, Marseille are worried that he may have had a change of opinion, and they would like the forward to clear any doubts over his future before training begins.

Les Phocéens are keen for Aubameyang to remain at the club as he was one of the few consistently bright sparks in a turbulent season. The striker had shouldered the goal-scoring burden over the last campaign as he recorded 30 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
