Rumours of a rift between Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne are "fake news" according to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez.
The Red Devils are on the ropes following their shock 2-0 defeat to Morocco on Sunday and need to beat Croatia on Thursday in their final group match to stand any chance of making the last-16.
According to various sources, Hazard, De Bruyne and Jan Vertonghen were all involved in a heated bust-up in the dressing room after the result at the weekend and had to be separated by Romelu Lukaku, though Martinez insists there's no truth to the reports.
"You've got some outlets in Belgium who are quite happy to jump on fake news, which is quite astonishing," Martinez told reporters at his press conference on Wednesday.
"It has made the group more aware that the less they listen to the noise from the outside, the better... It shows that maybe there is more desire to find negative news around this team than get the nation together, support this team, enjoy the talent of the best generation that we've ever had in Belgian football."
Martinez is right, this is the best generation of players Belgium have ever had, which is why their lacklustre start at the World Cup has exasperated so many onlookers.

They were lucky to beat Canada in the opening round of fixtures and were deservedly beaten by Morocco, and now they face their toughest test of the group, against 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia.
Dressing room argy-bargy or not, Martinez will need to get his uber-talented group of players all singing from the same hymn sheet, otherwise Belgium's 'golden generation' are going to be signing off with a whimper.
