Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a shock move for Man City full-back Joao Cancelo, according to reports.
Cancelo only arrived at the Etihad last summer in a £58.5million move from Italian giants Juventus, in a deal which also saw Danilo head in the opposite direction for £33.3 million.
Despite the investment, the 25-year-old has failed to nail down a place in the first team this season, with only 18 appearances to his name as he competes for the spot with Kyle Walker.
The lack of game time has seen Cancelo already be linked with a move away from the club and the latest reports suggest that Spurs are interested.
El Desmarque, via SportWitness, claim that Jose Mourinho has 'spoken to his compatriot' Cancelo regarding his lack of options at right-back and that he could be the solution.
It's claimed that the Portuguese 'wants more' game time and that he's 'close' to Tottenham.
