Jose Mourinho has revived his old rivalry with Arsene Wenger, claiming the former Arsenal boss failed to mention him in his new book 'because he never beat me'.

The Frenchman released his autobiography titled Arsene Wenger: My Life in Red and White this week, pulling back the curtain on his time with the Gunners and his experience in the Premier League.

But there is no reference to Mourinho, who he faced on an number of times in matches against Chelsea and Manchester United, with the Portuguese boss boasting an undefeated record against him.

And speaking at a press conference ahead of his Tottenham side's game against West Ham, Mourinho said Wenger's lack of success against him was the reason he wasn't included.

'Because he never beat me,' he told a reporter when asked why he isn't mentioned.

'You are not going to do a chapter about 12 or 14 matches and never win one so why should he? A book is a thing to make you happy, to make you proud so I understand perfectly the situation.'

The pair shared a tense relationship during their years together on the touchline, with Mourinho once claiming Wenger was 'a specialist in failure' as he was often goaded for his failure to win trophies with the Gunners.
