Chelsea news: The away kit for next season appears to have been 'leaked' with a throwback design on the cards

The pre-season will be important on and off the pitch, but for fans it will also be a chance to get excited about seeing their team play once again. There will undoubtedly be the kit reveals for the season that will also help generate hype for the year to come for the Blues.

The home kit will don the traditional blue, though it remains to be seen exactly which other features will be part of the shirt itself. The away kit could be anything, but it appears as though some information has been "leaked" that could show how the kit will look for their travels.

A mock up from Footy Headlines shows a navy and blue shirt that is based on the old away kit from 2002/2003, though the potential design is very bold.

It remains to be seen if that is the design that is opted for by kit providers Nike, with fan opinion yet to be gauged on the decisions.
