The Brazilian winger could leave New York City in the winter transfer window.

With the arrival of the transfer window, the City Group is hoping to build a competitive squad for New York City ahead of the new MLS season. AS can confirm that talented former Vasco da Gama winger Talles Magno is looking for a move away from MLS this transfer window. While there is talk of a possible return to Brazil, all the signs point to a move to Europe.

Magno (21) arrived in New York just over a season and a half ago from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama for just over €7million. He gradually made his way into City’s lineups and was considered one of MLS’ top players when he exploded this season. In the 2023 season, the winger managed to score four goals and provide three assists in all competitions, numbers that, although they were among the highest in the squad, failed to help the team qualify for the playoffs.

In the United States there was talk of a possible USMNT call-up, but close sources say that for the moment that possibility is not in the player’s hands. The right winger is currently valued at €10million by Transfermarkt, and a move to Europe could be on the cards.

Galaxy scouring Brazilian market

While some MLS teams are keeping an eye on what might happen in the window in terms of departures, others are starting to strengthen their ranks. According to reports from Brazil, Los Angeles Galaxy have closed a deal for Gabriel Pec for around €10million. The Galaxy are starting to strengthen with young talents after losing two key players at the end of the year, including Chicharito Hernández and Douglas Costa.
